The "Cork to Galway Cycle is run over two days. 19th and 20th of June.

Route for Day 1.

Starting from Cork City Council Offices on Anglesea Street the tour will proceed through Copley St., Union Quay, South Mall, Merchants Quay and over the Christy Ring Bridge out on to the New mallow Road (N20).

We will follow the N20 through Mallow (rest stop), Charleville (rest stop), and as far as Croom. We will then leave the N20 where it turns into motorway and proceed through Patrickswell and on towards Limerick on the Galway Road. We stop at the South Court Hotel where we will stay for the night.


Route for Day 2.

Leaving South Court Hotel (10am) will will head up Dock Road and cross the Shannon Bridge and onto the N18 towards Galway. At Junction 9 we leave the N18 (where it turns into motorway). We carry on through Newmarket on Fergus and Clarecastle arriving at Ennis (rest stop).

After Ennis we head on up through Barefield, Crusheen and on to Gort (rest stop). After Gort we rejoin the N18 all the way to Galway entering the city on the west route. We will regroup at the Merlin Park Hospital (rest stop) and then enter Galway city as a group. After a "lap of honour" of Eyre Square we proceed to the docks area where we will load the bikes on to the truck (for transprtation back to Cork) and retire to our accommodation. Meet up later for a "party" in the Harbour Hotel.
